End-of-day wrap-up

A quick end-of-day routine — completing open tasks, confirming overlocks, checking the delinquency count, and logging any unit issues before you close.

A consistent end-of-day routine ensures nothing carries over unfinished and your facility is set up for a smooth start the next morning. These steps take under 10 minutes.

Complete or reassign open tasks

Open the Tasks tab and check for any tasks due today that are still open. Complete them, log a status note, or reassign them to someone on the next shift. Open tasks carry forward to the next day and will surface on the Home tab. See Tasks.

Confirm today's walkthrough is logged

If a walkthrough was due today, confirm it's been completed and closed in the system. Any overlock additions, unit condition changes, or tasks created during the walkthrough should already be recorded. See Facility Walkthrough (Overview).

Note the delinquency count

Before you close, take note of how many tenants are in the overlock or lien stage. If any new tenants crossed the overlock threshold today, add them to tomorrow's overlock sweep. This prevents the list from growing unmanaged overnight.

Confirm tomorrow's move-ins are ready

Check for any tenants scheduled to move in tomorrow. Verify their lease documents are signed, their account is active, and their unit is clean and rentable. An unsigned lease or unrentable unit on move-in day causes delays that are hard to resolve in the moment.

Log unit issues and incidents

If anything unusual happened — a damaged unit, a tenant dispute, a gate or security issue — log it as a task or note on the relevant unit or tenant record before you leave. This creates an audit trail and ensures your team is informed when they arrive the next morning.
