If a tenant needs to transfer units:
- Navigate to the tenant's lease account
- On the right side of the page, select the three dots to the right of Pay balance
- Select Unit Transfer. This will kickoff the transfer process, which has a series of steps, outlined below.
- In the Unit selector, select the new unit and hit Next
- Fill in the unit transfer details, including when the tenant is moving into the new unit, when they are moving out the old unit, what their insurance plan is for the new unit, and whether you want to charge a move-in fee for the new unit
Select Preview to review the new charges for the new unit. Review the new charges and select Confirm once complete
The tenant will be moved out of their old unit and moved into the new one. Any security deposit and prepaid balances from the original unit will be transferred to the new rental. You will see these transactions reflected in both their old and new lease Transactions
Cubby will also reflect any new charges tied to the new unit in question.
Quick Tip: to navigate quickly between the old lease and the new lease:
The Unit transfer process will bring you back to the old leases page. Navigate to the tenant’s page by clicking on their name under the Lease Details
This will bring you to the tenant page, where you can see the overall history of tenant’s transactions and quickly access each of their units. Easily access either Leases by clicking on Manage
