This feature is helpful in situations where you've entered incorrect auction details—such as the wrong winner, bid amount, or cleaning deposit—or if the unit was mistakenly marked as sold when it wasn’t. Unsettling the auction allows you to reset its status back to "Settle", giving you the opportunity to correct the information and start over.

Important: You can only unsettle an auction before payment has been collected from the auction winner.

When Can You Unsettle an Auction?

After an auction takes place, Cubby provides the option to "Settle" it. During this step, you confirm whether the unit was sold, the winning bid amount, and the winner’s details. Once this information is submitted, the next step is to collect payment.

However, before payment is received, you can still "unsettle" the auction and make corrections. Any auction that is eligible for unsettling will display the following button

How to Unsettle

  1. Click the "Undo Settle" button.

  2. Confirm the unit name when prompted.

  3. Click "Undo Settle" to proceed.

  4. This action will revert the auction status from "Pay Balance" back to "Settle", allowing you to re-enter or correct the auction details as needed.
